The Grand India Golf Tour Courses

The Grand India Golf Course Tour visits several key golf courses. Brief details are provided below.

The Delhi Golf Club is the oldest golf club in Delhi, established by the British in 1931 and is probably the sole Golf Club within the world, dotted with the monuments of historic and archaeological value.  The club has a championship eighteen-hole A course known as Lodhi course, part of the Asian PGA tour and a nine hole B course, used primarily by beginners. The course was re-designed by Peter Thomson in 1976-77.

The Qutab Golf Course is the first public Golf Course in India. Designed and maintained by the Delhi Development authority. There is a 250 yards, state of art driving range at the golf course and combined with the training facilities available this takes the Qutab golf course a haven for beginners. Nevertheless, the tricky looking open fairways are fun and challenge for all golfers.

Noida Golf Course is remarkable in the sense that eighteen-holes have been deftly packed in just 97 acres of land which are bounded by lush fairways, trees and water hazards. All the fairways have been designed with a view to make the course difficult for an average golfer and challenging enough for a professional to sharpen their skills. The depression area in front of the Tee No.7 has been beautifully landscaped to improve the aesthetics of the course. There is a big lake on Hole No. 7, par 4, 365 yards which is also the tightest hole on the golf course. The distance from tee No. 7 to the end of the lake is about 150 yards.

The Jaypee Greens Greater Noida Golf, created in 2000 is part of an over 450-acre ocean of top-notch golf-centric community. This Greg Norman designed golf course is an 18-hole championship layout and is an ideal location for the quintessential golf enthusiast. At 7,347 yards from the championship tee, this 72 par course with 14 lakes and water bodies and 88 bunkers is easily one of the longest in Asia. While the fairways have been grassed using an imported Bermuda grass said to be known for providing a high quality playing surface, the bunkers remind one of classic Melbourne sand belt courses. Open and closed woodlands, scrublands, wetlands and wild-grassed areas form parts of the course landscaping. There is also the 9-hole Graham Cooke-designed golf course on approximately 11 acres of verdant land.

The Golfshire Golf Club is regarded as one of the best golf clubs in Bangalore, this is the perfect start to your golfing experience.  Spread over 275 acre , this premier golf course is located far away from the hustle and bustle of the City and set against the picturesque backdrop of Nandi Hills. The Golfshire Club Course measures over 7,000 yards from the championship tees. Employing the wild shaping of the links courses and a distinctive bunker style, this golf course offers a rugged beauty as well a tough but fair Golfing challenge.

KGA. Golf enthusiasts created this 117 acre of oasis from the Old Chalaghatta swamp. A 7227 yard par 72 was designed by Peter Thomson, the 1965 British Open Champion. With a challenging 18 hole, this is one of the toughest to play in the country. Weekends being the busiest we have scheduled it accordingly.

Eagleton Golf Resort is The world-class course at Eagleton Golf Resort is on the outskirts of Bangalore. Designed by Pacific Coast Designs, Australia, in accordance with US PGA Championship course standards, this 18-hole course, Par 72 is spread across 168 acres of land and plays to about 7100 yards from the blue tees. At 7100 yards, this Par 72, 18 Hole championship course is a pleasure to play at with changes in elevation, water hazards in play, 68 bunkers to avoid and a whole lot of mature tree line for company. The greens are Tifdwarf Bermuda greens. Eagleton has also made night golf a reality in India and promises that this par 3, 9-hole, 1400 yards floodlit executive course is just about as challenging as the 18 hole one. Birdies, eagles, albatrosses and more await the avid golfer.

Chikmagalur Golf Club lies at the foot of the breathtaking Babubudanagiri Range across the Western Ghats. Chikmagalur Golf Club is the brainchild of the celebrated golf course designer Phil Ryan. This golf course is challenging and only recently became the 18-hole course.

Unrivaled for its location, the course has been recently redesigned by a well known golf architect from Australia. Despite its small area of around 60 acres, the course has been designed to dovetail all 18 holes on 12 fairways with minimal crisscrossing. The course currently plays to a 6118 yardage from the men’s tees as a Par 70,18 hole course. You will be transferred in time to connect with your international flight back home.
